How does it work?
Mold Star™ Grey is an easy-to-use Shore 20A platinum silicone that is ideal for making fast, strong and lasting rubber molds suitable for casting resins, plasters, wax, and other materials. Parts A and B are mixed 1A:1B by volume (no weighing scale required) and vacuum degassing is not necessary, as Mold Star™ Grey features a very low viscosity.
Pot life is 6 minutes and cure time is 30 minutes at room temperature. Mold Star™ Grey can be thickened for brush-on mold making using THI-VEX™ silicone thickener. Cured Mold Star™ Grey is certified skin safe. Mold Star™ Grey can be color pigmented by adding Silc Pig™ silicone pigments.
Note: This product will not cure against surfaces containing sulfur, even when sealed.
